Step 1 — Access Trial Results Comparator
TRC is accessed directly from within BMT — no separate login or additional tool required. There are three entry points, each of which pre-populates relevant filters automatically:

Step 2 — Apply Filters and Build Your Comparison Set
Once inside TRC, users apply filters to narrow the pipeline to the most relevant trials. Available filter dimensions include:

Trial Phase
Molecular Target
Mechanism of Action (MOA)
The product overview updates in real time, displaying all matching drugs and their associated trials. Users can drill into any product-indication to view specific clinical trials and individual events — including top-line results, updated results, and published results.
A "See More" side panel provides additional context before adding a trial to the comparison, including key dates, treatment details, and inclusion/exclusion criteria.
Step 3 — Select Trials and Events to Compare
Users add specific trials and events to the comparison table using one of two methods:
Quick Select Click the square icon next to any product-indication to automatically add the latest event for that trial to the comparator table. Multiple products and multiple events per product can be added simultaneously, enabling multi-drug comparisons across a single indication.
Manual Select Review individual events via the "See More" panel, then choose which specific event to add. This is particularly useful when comparing results from different phases or different points in time for the same drug.
Step 4 — Review the Comparison Table
The comparison table presents all selected trial events in a structured, side-by-side format across the following key components:

Trial Design
Endpoints
Results
Adverse Events
Conclusion
Analyst Commentary (where available)
Users can toggle between different view configurations, and links within the table navigate directly to the full event record in BMT for deeper reading.
Step 5 — Invoke AI Analysis with Ella
Clicking the "Ask Ella" / Activate AI button triggers an AI-powered, head-to-head analysis of the selected trials. Ella:
Extracts and structures key data points — such as adverse event rates and primary endpoint outcomes — across all selected trials
Generates a structured comparative report — a direct head-to-head comparison, not individual drug summaries
Supports follow-on questions — including generating a SWOT analysis or comparing efficacy on a specific target or patient segment
Step 6 — Export and Continue Analysis
The full comparison table can be exported to Excel at any time. All structured data fields are preserved, making it easy to incorporate TRC outputs into existing reporting workflows, internal presentations, or further analysis.
